Dear Masiela, my wife is currently 7+ months pregneant, and will be born around early november of this year. we just just found out today today that it is going to be a girl. we are still waiting for the birthdate estimation to come in. We both poured through books on names, but none of them sounded right for our baby girl, except one.
Yours....
Me and my wife would like to request permission to name our daughter, Masiela, after you.- Masiela Lusha

Hi Masiela!
I really admire you. I think you have a great acting career. I also admire your simple lifestyle and past. I am European and MiddleEastern and I think your biography is amazing. I even did a report on who I admired and I picked you last year for my seventh grade research report on people you looked up to. I also love your book drinking the moon, and I wish I could write as good as you. You are my role model and I want to be just like you when i grow up! Best regards, Tessa- Masiela Lusha

Dear Tessa,
Your kind letter really left an impression on me. I continue to pursue new paths in the hopes of inspiring you to build your own natural talents. Did you know that English was very difficult for me growing up? I had to disregard everything I was taught in other languages which left me feeling insecure when it came to my grades. Even my teachers didn't know what to do with me! However, I took the first step and began studying just a little harder, read a little more, and fostered an even deeper passion for literature. The following year, my teacher, Mrs. Presta, recited my poems to our class.
In most cases, the very first step in accomplishing any dream is often the most difficult! Whether it be writing, singing, or record breaking, take the first step - you will be surprised where it will lead. Please give it a try for me; I can't wait to see what you accomplish! Your natural talents span well beyond your imagination.
Love,
Masiela

Hi Masiela, how are you? I'd like to thank you for being my friend. You have shined light into my life with your words of wisdom, your role as Carmen on George Lopez, and your smile that makes everything all right. Spiritually speaking, you helped me when I was down and couldn't get up. You stood by my side till I could walk on my own again and whenever I fell down again, you were there to catch me. I feel that your always there for me and all you fans spiritually inspiring us to reach new heights that we never thought we could and make our dreams come true. Thanks to you, I have become a much stronger person to where I can help others stay positive and not let the bad things ruin all the good things they have. Once again thanks for helping me find my way and for being my friend. - Masiela Lusha

I think your poetry is really amazing. I also loved you on George Lopez. Im only 15, about to be 16 now, but i wanted to show you what i wrote:
People try to describe it. But it never comes out just right. There’s always one missing detail, or one spark to few. People change others meanings of it to make it their own. And yet we can never find the perfect definition for it. It is the most indescribable feeling in the world. And it means something different to everyone. For some it’s simple, others its complex. Some people even blind themselves from it to keep from getting hurt. But no matter what we do, it will always find us. Weather its in family, friends, or our significant other. And when you experience this feeling, you will know its love.
it would be amazing if you told me what you think. :) thanks- Masiela Lusha

Hello beautiful girl!
Thank you for entrusting me with your work. There is a transparency in your writing and rhythm, creatively.... and what is fascinating to me is the journey you took in being very candid, and yet remaining very mysterious! The rare charm in your poem is that there is no embellishment or grandiose philosophy. It feels as if you just plucked a view, intimately examined it, and reshaped it to fit your own being, leaving it in your incontestable ownership; and this is the fuel of poetry - ownership of oneself.
I feel it is not in my place to offer any critique, as I believe our nature as sensitive beings is far too complex to break apart, re-examine and reshape. I can only offer you a certain insight my tutor had once offered me at your age: every last word, of every line, in every poem must carry the weight of the entire work. The final word from the last line of a poem must be so well thought and defined, that it will summarize and complete your entire poem, however long and complex. This you have done simply and beautifully with the word Love.
Finally, it's wonderful to sense such beauty in your views on life, to write about something as positive and nurturing as unconditional love. Our world needs more future leaders like yourself, young adults who can light the path to human decency with a single, undying flame of nourishing kindness and growth. Excellent work!
Yours,
Masiela x

Dear Masiela,I know in my heart your trully sent from above and I'm so gratfull that your here to spread love and light in the darkness.I LOVE your poetry and I don't usually read poetry but when I read/heard The polite sea and others I was blown away and filled with chills.I totally get it,the "Sea" being Gods consciousness, and that you came in very connected to your higher self or creative angelic power, love. It shows in your eyes, words, voice and energy. "messengers" such as you are few and far between and your being here makes me feel less alone.I'm amazed how much we think alike and I wish to know you more. I did ask The Allmighty Director for another like me to come into my life not long ago.If its you, He,She REALLY delivers! C: Much Love my Sweat one. From your true friend, Jason Lee - Masiela Lusha

Dear Jason Lee,
You have a lovely way with words. Very warm. The deeper we dive into our personal senses and explore our honest interpretation of our surroundings, the more our philosophies become publicly relevant and expand to reach outer spheres of our society. In the end we all crave sincerity and raw honesty, and poetry is a perfect medium to transfer such naked truth.
Thank you again for such a kind letter. It's the fuel behind my work! :)
Warmest,
Masiela

hey Masiela,
I'm recently out of rehab and completely lost. Drugs cost me my job, my house, and basically my life. The only person I confided in (my fiance) passed away december, and I can't figure out what to do. I've always enjoyed writing, and I'm pretty good at it, but don't know how to make a living at it. any advice for me?

Dear Nick,
Thank you for such a sincere and transparent letter. It's incredible how much is asked of us in this world, wouldn't you agree? But whatever faith or religion supports you, I believe that God does not offer us what we are not capable of lifting with all of our strength.
The fact that you had the strength to pass through such a dark time, accept the necessity of rehab, and re-emerged clean shows to me how strong of a character you are. You were tested, you learned, and you were reborn.
You have already been an inspiration for others who have read your story but who have yet to take the next step you've already completed... I know there is more out there for you to do, more inspiration, and more hearts to capture.
Nick, you hold the key to your next great achievement... you hold the key to your deepest well of troubled and happy experiences.... you hold the key to your next path in life. You still hold the key to love. Please keep strong for me..... Sometimes the best advice one can offer is silent company.
You know what you must do... And you have all of my respect.
With Love,
Masiela

Hi, Rolando!
First and foremost, CONGRATULATIONS! I understand your nervousness, and can safely say it's natural and even expected. You're entering a new stage in your life, so to feel such a dichotomy of emotion is normal (and endearing!)
Just sit back, relax, absorb every experience, and let the day fly by faster than you can blink. Soon you will remember this wedding, many years from now, and smile with pride, hoping to recapture it, even for only a fleeting second.
Here's to a beautiful union on March 18th!
All my love,
Mas

hello Masiela, that is such a beautiful name you have. I had a quick question if that was alright. You see I love to write, I write all kinds of things, short stories, novels and espescially poetry. I was wondering, could I post some of my poetry for you to read and critique me on? One other thing, i loved you ever since you were on the George Lopez Show as Carmen, you were the reason I watch the show still even though it is in syndicated reruns. don't get me wrong you are very beautiful and so multi-talented. i just thought you would like to have my opinion of you and about you. If you ever look in a mirror, i don't think you would see what I see in you. thank you for your time in reading this, i really appreciate it. - Masiela Lusha

Hello there,
Thank you for your kind words. I would be happy and honored to read some of you poetry; though, I cannot say I would feel entirely comfortable critiquing your work. I do not believe I have the authority to suggest changes regarding the philosphy of your heart. It is a delicate art you hold as a poets.
I look forward to reading your work :)
Sincerely,

Your poems are interesting! You speak of mindless truths and vast emptiness. Sudden thoughts that you stumble upon throughout this journey you call life, but yet you realize that you lack something. I relate to your writing and I too feel as if I lack something, and yet I am inspired by my surroundings to find the truth as to what it is I desire. Why is it that human beings are never satisfied? - Masiela Lusha

Hi Sasha,
I love that you noticed this sense of incomprehensibility in poetry. This air of restlessness pervading our ambitions keeps us striving up the ladder of human development, otherwise we would re-enter the dark ages of no ambition or invention! The moment we feel we have learned everything the world has to offer, is the moment we relinquish all true self respect and purpose in life. What do you think?
Sincerely,
Masiela

Hey Girl...I just watched the George Lopez reunion. I'm sorry to report that I no longer feel you are beautiful. After viewing the interviews I must confess you are gorgeous and articulate. Maybe stunning and breathtaking are better descriptives. If you haven't watched the video maybe you should. You were perfect in so many ways. My only very personal and strange hobby is analyzing movies and the actors' roles. Your appearance on the reunion special, just like your complexion and smile, was immaculate. In being honest to G-d, I am no obsessive type kind of fan but you certainly do not make it easy on us guys...lol. I'll give you the same advice that I have been given and always pass it forward: Just be yourself. Truth is "yourself" is quite something I've never seen before. Its always gratifying to see a unique person blaze their own path. Best of success, health and luck always and forevermore. ddd - Masiela Lusha

To All My Friends,
Happy Halloween! I hope you are enjoying the crisp, cool turning of the season on this celebrated day.
Your letters, poems and birthday wishes warmed my heart, and I cannot express vividly enough how proud your kindness has made me feel. There is a lot of work put into making films that could help transport you away from reality for two hours. The passion we project, and the emotional, physical investment we use to make "movie magic" is all for you, and to feel your approval in your letters is by far the greatest reward.
Two days ago, we wrapped a movie titled "Kill Katie Malone." It is a psychological thriller about three best friends who play a practical joke and purchase a ghost in an online bidding auction. The story unfolds very rapidly from the first incident and crashes to a spectacular finish. The cast consisted of Lil 'J, Stephen Colletti, Dean Cain, and me. Our production company, Illuminary Pictures, is producing the picture as well -- so we're roaring into post-production with editing, music, and trailers in November. No time to rest! :)
I always love hearing from you, and I am so very sorry it happens so rarely, but you play a vital role in keeping me enthused about Hollywood. I pursue and accept projects in the hopes of making you proud -- with all your kindness, it is the least I could do.
Have fun and stay safe this Halloween! I'll always be here.
With Love,
Masiela
